See below for the standard on a 34.5” high cabinet and this is for dovetail construction ONLY.

General rule for depth of boxes:
23”+ = 21 deep box
20” - 23” = 18” deep box
17” - 20” = 15” deep box
14” - 17” = 12” deep box
12” - 14” = 9” deep box
< 12” = Not available

Special rule: in Face Frame, if the cabinet is deeper than 24” we will install a false back to attach the rear boot to for glides.

Frameless –
DB**-1 = 10” box
DB**-2 = 10” boxes
DB**-3 = Top drawer 4” box / Bottom drawers 6” boxes
DB**-4 = Top 2 drawers 4” boxes / Bottom 2 drawers 6” boxes

Face Frame –
DB**-1 = 6” box
DB**-2 = 10” boxes
DB**-3 = Top drawer 4” box / Bottom drawers 6” boxes
DB**-4 = All 4” boxes

Below are the calculations for Face Frame Dovetail drawer boxes ONLY

Single width drawer
Cabinet width - 3.375" = outside width of the drawer box (Example 21" wide cab - 3.375" = 17.625" width drawer box)

2 drawers side by side cabinets
Divide cabinet in half and use the above calculation to get each drawer box width

Internal width of drawer box
·         We use 5/8” material for dovetail boxes
Drawer box width - 1.25" = inside width of drawer box

Internal depth of drawer box
Drawer box depth - 1.25" = inside depth of drawer box

Internal height of drawer box
Drawer box height - 0.75" = inside height of drawer box
